Townsville Tri Club

Members are from a wide variety of backgrounds and each member has their own personal goal to achieve. Whether it be purely for fitness or just being social, we even support the more serious competitor vying for their spot on a national team. We have just updated our registration page to allow direct contributions to NQ Legacy without having to commit to a race. That means if youā€™re a spectator, staff member, club member, want to sponsor, want to donate more, or find yourself unable to compete due to an injury or unavailability, you can still donate via the same link:

Hey peeps, our sister club, Townsville Cycling Club is partnering with 5th Aviation Regiment to bring you their first criterium of the year on 12 April at 2pm. This is a great opportunity to network with other cyclists, view CH47 Chinook displays and compete on a very fast tarmac on a taxiway and apron. Food and soft drinks are also on offer. Get your registrations in quick because if regos are low, this event might be cancelled.

Register here: https://entryboss.cc/races/24926

First timers welcome - select first month free trial.

Access to the base is restricted to competitors only. Support staff and spectators wanting access will need to request this directly thru Townsville Cycling Club.

Hey peeps, hereā€™s a sneak peak at the swim course, transition and race HQ. Other maps will be released in due course as we finalise the race brief. We are also working on opening registration to teams, so if you want to share the pain, you are welcome to do so. Remember, this event is about participation and raising money for Legacy. There will be no prizes for 1st 2nd or 3rd, but we will aim to give away a small prize as a token of appreciation and to recognise your small sacrifice towards completing the distance and your donation to NQ Legacy.

To help you prepare for the event, Friday training sessions will be relocated to Riverway for the month of April. 0530 start. Please meet at race HQ next to the boat ramp (pictured below - big tent symbol). This Friday we will test out the run course and go for a dip in the lagoon (we will wait for the river to settle before we attempt swimming in it).

Rego link here. Get excited!

Townsville Triathlon Club is proud to reintroduce the Legacy 100 on 27th of April! This important local charity event raises important funds for Legacy with 100% of competitor fees being donated to Northern Queensland Legacy. On Sunday morning, as the sun rises over the Ross River, participants will undertake a 1km swim | 90km ride | 9km run to complete the 100km course. In 2025, the event returns to Riverway including a challenging ride up Herveyā€™s Range and a swim in the Ross river. This hotly contested local event is offering a Legacy 50 this year, so those of you not ready for the full distance can still compete and raise money for Legacy! Also, kids ages 12-17 are welcome to give the Legacy 10 a hot crack. At a tenth of the distance itā€™s sure to be achievable for the little ones. Will you accept the Legacy 100, 50 or 10 challenge and raise funds for Northern Queensland Legacy? Legacy has been caring for the partners and children of veterans who have given their lives or health during or because of their military service for almost a century. Currently, Northern Queensland Legacy supports almost 600 beneficiaries aged between four and one hundred years. Money raised by the event will support education for children, financial and social support for widows and will help free up critical volunteers so that they can spend more time helping people in our community.

Sign up below and choose your own entry fee knowing all of it will be donated to Legacy:
